Energy-Efficient Solutions for Poltava Polytechnic

Ventilation Systems participated in a large-scale thermal modernization project at the Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic National University. The university was supplied with a comprehensive set of energy-efficient Vents ventilation equipment.
One of the key areas of the university’s thermal modernization was the upgrade of ventilation systems and improving the indoor climate in classrooms in accordance with current Ukrainian standards (DBN and DSTU). Due to limited space for installing air ducts, a solution based on decentralized ventilation was chosen, which does not require complex engineering infrastructure and ensures effective air exchange directly within the rooms.

As part of the project, Vents supplied a range of energy-efficient equipment, including decentralized heat recovery units: DVUT 300PB E2 EC A21 and DVUT 500PB E2 EC A21 (36 units in total), air handling units VUT 3000 PV EC A25 (three units), as well as air dampers, ventilation grilles, disc valves, and other system components. In total, the ventilation systems covered over 12,000 m² of educational space.

Decentralized ventilation units are located directly in the serviced rooms and mounted to the ceilings. These units are fully equipped, standalone solutions for supply and exhaust ventilation and heat recovery.

Special attention was paid to control units: the ventilation systems are equipped with intelligent controls that allow operation to be adjusted based on CO₂ levels in the rooms. This makes it possible to maintain an optimal indoor climate in the classrooms while minimizing power consumption.

As a result of the project, stable air exchange has been ensured, air quality in classrooms has improved, and a significant reduction in power consumption has been achieved.

The thermal modernization project at Poltava Polytechnic has become a prime example of how Vents' modern ventilation technologies can be effectively integrated into large educational facilities and has confirmed the competitiveness of the company's engineering solutions in line with high European standards.
